You could call these a heritage packet – I’ve had them a long time. I was a bit curious, posting about this one, as to who Bunyard is/was. Interesting fact, and most appropriate for my old packet of seeds, did you know that ‘Mr Bunyard’s Exhibition’ dates from before 1880? (Mine aren’t that old). Bunyard’s was one of the leading Victorian fruit nurseries and based near Maidstone in Kent. The owner, George Bunyard, was even awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour by the RHS for his achievement as a breeder and an organiser. There you go.
