These 30 paintings were created in a daily painting project, painting one a day for thirty days – each in oil on primed paper. To. avoid hunting for a new thing to paint each day, I worked through my amassed seed packet collection. Easy to hand, colourful, plentiful.
If you’re interested in any piece, drop me a message.
Each painting is painted in oils on A4, thick watercolour paper, primed twice with white gesso.
Largely for this project I used my own seeds, but along the way a few people lent or given me their seed packets, weaving their stories in with my own. One packet was a special memorial variety of Sweet Peas from Thompson and Morgan, raising money for the Melanoma Fund, a charity set up by the husband of a local East Grinstead woman who sadly passed away.
