Oops, it’s been a while since I posted. To be fair, it’s been a hard year of juggling but as September swung round, I’ve found a bit more time to dedicate to my artwork, which is so lovely, I can’t tell you! I’m working on a very large piece at the moment which I’ll show in due course, and is taking up a lot of my painting time. In the meantime I have a little exhibition up, which I’m really excited about. With HUGE thanks to Bobby and the team at the Llama Park for hosting an exhibition of my horse and bird paintings in the café area. The painted birds are all direct references of Llama Park birds, so it’s lovely that they’ve come home to roost, if you’ll pardon the pun! Every time I visit, I get really captivated by the guinea fowl, peacocks and chickens roaming around that I have to take loads of reference photos for painting back in the studio.

I have nine pieces up in the exhibition, all situated in a comfy corner of the café, with delicious smells coming from the baked goods on sale! I think some cheese scones had just come out of the oven when I was there! If you’re in the area, do stop by for a cup of tea and I recommend a browse round the shop (lots of guilty purchases to be made).

Our youngest wanted to bring her little canvas with her. She paints a lot looser than me. Like Picasso said ‘It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.’
