This week saw Example art group, of which I’m a member, take over 100 pieces of work to The Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester for our latest biannual exhibition. If you’re in the area on Saturday 7 July, 2-4pm, do come say hello!
Back in 2014 we successfully staged Townscape, an art trail around East Grinstead, which we followed up with Townscape 2016 at East Grinstead Town Museum, an exhibition showing work from each artist responding to a museum exhibit. Two years on, we take our work on tour to our county town, Chichester, in West Sussex. This time there’s no theme, we’ll all be showing our own most recent personal work.
The exhibition opened to the public today, July 3rd, and is open daily from 10-4.30 until Sunday 15th July (closed Mondays).
On Saturday 7th July, 2-4pm, we’ll be hosting a Meet the Artists session, inviting friends, family and artlovers to come meet us and view the work during the afternoon. If you’re around or fancy a day trip, please do come and join us.
I’m showing many of the seed packet painting series, on display for the first time. They’re all looking very smart, framed up, though I say so myself. Who’d have thought that a little daily painting project back in February would be all framed up for exhibition… I certainly didn’t expect it, back then.
